Leighanna Tuplin
Pet Wellbeing - Dog Trainer
After initially joining the company in 2005 on a part time basis as a Pet Care Assistant, Leighanne was promoted to Pet Wellbeing Supervisor in 2007.
Her role as Pet Wellbeing Supervisor is to ensure that all pets in the care of Home From Home are happy, healthy and enjoying their stay. Being able to devote her time to this impotant role means that any pets in Home From Home's care that maybe more prone to problems, such as: stress, seperation anxiety, dietary problems, medical issues etc can be quickly identified and effectively resolved.
Prior to joining Home From Home Leighanna has held a number of roles in the pet care industry. Having experience in pet retail and vet nursing, Leighanna has also worked with gun dogs, been a manager at a previous boarding establishment and has even had the role of working with and training media animals.
Along with this experience Leighanna also holds a number of qualifications in pet care. Gaining her Foundation Diploma in Animal Management (FDAM) from Bishop Burton College in 2003 Leighanna graduated with her National Diploma in Animal Management (NDAM) in 2005. Along with these qualifications Leighanna also holds IABTC certificate in Dog Instructing, Animal First Aid and Dog Behaviour & Counselling. Leighanna, along with fellow employee Rachael, has the knowledge and experience to help owners with any behavioural problems they may have encountered with their pets. In November 2009 Leighanna also gained her certificate in Behaviour Problems & Rehabilitation from the IABTC.
